The unique design is capable of achieving impressive weather tightness, even without optimum compression, this in turn reduces everyday strain placed on operating hardware, lengthening the lifespan of the window.
Security
PAS24 is the recognised enhanced security standard for windows and doors, to which all elements of the UpperGlass™ range are Kitemark certified. Each iCOR building block used to create UpperGlass™ was designed to be compatible with all standard hardware, simplifying what is required to comply with the PAS24 requirements.
Energy Efficient
High performance double and triple glazing
Specifying windows and doors with the highest thermal performance is vital at a time of soaring energy costs and Government’s drive to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
Energy rated windows stop heat escaping and capture warmth from natural sunlight, helping save money on fuel bills.
Our high performance double glazed windows achieve A*10 energy rating, or a U-value as low as 1.2 W/m²K, providing superb thermal insulation.
Our triple glazed windows achieve A*25 energy rating, or a U-value
as low as 0.8 W/m²K, for the best in energy efficiency.
Thermal Chamber Insulator (TCI)
The TCI is a UpperGlass™ thermal insert placed inside the window profile, replacing steel reinforcement.
Based on theoretical thermal modelling tests, we found that by using UpperGlass™ thermal chamber inserts instead of steel, window energy ratings and U-values are significantly improved.
UpperGlass™ thermal inserts also weigh less than steel and are 100% recyclable.
